Our Deacon, The Reverend Miguel Baguer, meets once a week on Tuesday evenings at 7:00 pm in the Outer Sacristy room for a conversation on Christian Formation. The group focuses on study of the Bible or a contemporary Christian book.
Come to read and review the assigned Sunday scripture readings with the Daughters of The King prior to the 10:00 AM service so that the Word becomes alive and familiar. Bring your Bible (all translations welcome) to the School Teachers’ Lounge (kitchen) at 9:00 AM. We humbly request that our study start promptly at 9:00 AM. as we allow 45 minutes for study to accommodate those preparing for the 10:00 AM worship service.
During Lent, we meet on Wednesdays, from 6 pm-8 pm in the Parish Hall. Our study for this year is based on old testament roots. If this sounds interesting to you, please join us each Wednesday as we learn more about our relationship with God and each other, Scripture and our Anglican Heritage. A simply meal is also served. Please contact the church office 305-361-5080 so that we will know how many books we need and how much food to order.
Adults seeking baptism and parents wishing to have their children baptized must attend a one session class on Baptism. The class focuses on the theology, history and liturgy of the sacrament. Classes are held within two weeks of each scheduled baptism, as arranged with the Rector. Godparents and sponsors are urged to attend to enrich their participation in both the ceremony and in living out their role. Parishioners may also attend this educational program. The Parish Administrator works with Reverend Susan and office staff, contacts sponsors/Godparents to schedule the class. The program includes teaching, facilitating discussion, and leading prayer.
